This guide should be followed as part of the guide Configuration: Create the reporting period.

In this section you will create the marking scale used in your reports, you can have multiple marking scales per reporting period. You can create a marking scale from scratch or if you choose to copy an earlier reporting period, the marking scale will already be available for you to review or edit.

Note - If grade scales are ordered High to Low - the overall grade will round down. If grade scales are ordered Low to High - the overall grade will round up.

1. Select create.

2. Enter a name.

This is the name used internally to refer to this grade.

3. Optionally enter a display name.

This name will appear on the final report.

Optionally insert merge fields.

4. Optionally add a cover page display name.

5. Optionally add an objective display name.

6. Optionally add a description.

The description field will also appear on the final reports.

7. Optionally select show on cover page.

This will display the grade on the cover page of the report.

8. Optionally select to allow a mark of N/A.

9. Select add grade.

10. Enter the key.

For example, O.

11. Enter the name.

For example, outstanding.

12. Optionally enter a description.

For example, students have reached a high level of understanding.

13. Continue to add grades as needed.

14. Select create.

15. Select OK.

You can use the search box.

3. Edit the details of the grade as needed.

Once the grades are created you can reorder how the grades will appear in the final PDF report.

2. Drag and drop the grade/s to desired order.

Click on the reorder icon for the required grade and drop it into the desired location.

The order set here is how the grades will appear in the final PDF report.
